IIT Delhi ~ So far So good!

Its been over a week I am here in IIT Delhi and therefore the ‘writer’ inside me couldn’t resist showing himself to the world. ;)

IIT DELHI & Me

The college is sort of fine. I am lucky to get Chemical Engineering here especially. Lucky because the branch contains one of the maximum and most beautiful girls of the whole ‘Insti‘. But the ‘fattus’ like me are still unable to even talk to one of them still after a week. :(

I’ve got my room in Aravali Hostel at the top floor just before the end of the corridor. Aravali used to be very famous for harsh ragging incidents few years ago. And considering the location of my room, I am at one of the most vulnerable areas of the hostel. I was a bit afraid and frightened initially.

But after a few days, I realised seniors here are pretty cool and kind. There may be exceptions, but most of them are friendly. Its been over a week and there is nothing sounding like ‘ragging’ here. I don’t know about the future though. ;)

DELHI (south) ~ The Visit to Priya PVR

People say if you want to see the ‘Real Delhi Beauties’, visit Priya. And now I can surely say they were damn right. There were soo many good ones and it was too difficult to choose one and stare.

After walking continuously for more than 45 minutes, finally we reached there. Its about 4-5 kilometers from IIT Delhi and a perfect hangout with friends.

The PVR here is not one of the largest and by the time we reached, there was no movie to be shown. So were left only to eat and stare the beauties. We headed to Nirula’s. Ankit (my colleague) said, Nirula is famous for icecreams. But icecreams at Nirula cost you an earth.

There was a damn hot girl in mini-skirts wearing a black top roaming with her younger sister there (who was also looking very good). As she was moving on the street, the whole crowd was staring her. We followed her for a while and when our legs finally started to ache, we headed for McD to feed and relax ourselves.

HANGING SPOTS @ IIT DELHI

There are many hanging places where one can go with friends and waste his ‘worth-wasting’ time. The most interesting one being the WindT (short form for Wind Tunnel). Its basically a small gap between two sections of the multi-storey building where cool wind blows all the time. So if you’ve got some time between your two consecutive classes, just sit here and experience the blissness. And in case if you’ve got a laptop, its even better because the WindT comes under Wi-Fi zone.

Then there is a 24 hours Nescafe counter near the main building. I’ve visited there only once but people say its a great place for a night out with friends.

And then there is ‘Sassi‘ ~ the most famous place of IIT Delhi. You must have read about it in ‘Five Point Someone’ written by my great senior Chetan Bhagat. I haven’t visited it yet, but wishing to do it real soon. ;)

MY NEW LIFE

Life @ IIT Delhi demands a lot of time management mostly between studies and fun. There is enormous pressure of studies, but if one looks at the other side, there is much more fun awaiting for him. Hostel life is basically fun. I’ve got many new friends coming from different areas of India. (Two of them are sitting just next to me while I am writing this blog).

Food at mess tastes good initially but its sort of monotonous and one gets bored of it after a few days.

There are some other minor problems of toilets etc., but as a whole, we all live as a family here. Everyone here is away from his/her home and misses his/her near and dear ones very much.

FINAL WORD

Missing home :(

    Man, I know what you mean about delhi girls, i have experienced it (and blogged about it) too…. its like a garden with the next flower prettier than the previous…. and u can’t decide which one to pick ;)

    The thing is yaar, (sorry for using this language), that “we put the pussy on the pedestal”….
    ok, that line is not mine, its from a movie, but it suits the occasion. You have to get this out of ur mind that u want to ask that girl out or be frnds with her if u want to talk to her, u just concentrate on having a conversation with a class fellow.. not a pretty girl. The worst she will do is say sorry and walk towards the other way, or say that she is busy or something…. it can’t be worse than that.. there r so many others in the world u can converse with, so why be nervous??
    Anyway, IITD sounds like a fun place man…. hope u make gr8 frnds there

    P.S. try to stay away from vodka ;)

  8. sandeep Said:

    hi dude , hope you remember me …( you have to !! no choice )
    A sound advice …
    TRY TO STAY AWAY FROM DELHI GIRLS!! , this is very imp. , it is like you keep on investing in a bank , and at the end you realize that bank has gone bankrupt..
    nain sukh prapti ke liye hi rakho unko !! :)
    among other things , gone to priya in first week itself !! huh! fache enthu mein hain…;)
    i hate this fact , but it is true the hottest bandis of iitd are in chemicals department …
    Insti Nescafe is ultimate pace to hang out , esp. when you want to see girls in loose clothings !!( it is rare , but happens ..chetan bhagat fan ..)

  9. vishakha Said:

    yeh to pakki baat hai ki u right about girls from bottom of ur heart .but u rite about DELHI BEAUTIES from d bottom of mind ,body ,soul,heart n everything…lolzzzz.
    seems like dat u will get ur avril dere.hehehehe.
    well u r enjoying dere alot that i know but we r enjoying
    more than u that even after going to such hieghts of success n such tough IITian schedule u didn’t left riting blogs.n given time to ur readers to fetch some beautifull writings continuously from our fav writer.
    n never try to quit writing.bcoz dis is d only way to make u “smile even then when ur alone”.n i know that dis sentence means a lot for any writter.
    may god showers all d happiness on u.
    keep smiling always.

    @Sandeep Sir
    I am taking your word sir………ye investment bank theory is quite correct i think..
    Naina Sukha Prapti……..woow…..nice use of metaphors…
    I am trying my best to know the things here as early as possible…..lets c how far i succeed.

    @Vishakha
    I guess you are the only ‘girl’ who appreciates my feelings and excuses to write on girls. Otherwise all the other ones keep me blaming about the objectionable thing I write about girls in my blogs.
    “Smile even when you are alone” is a great statement indeed. Thnx for the blessings and I wish the same (even quite more) for you. ;)

    @Vee
    Thanx man. Good luck to u too.

    Doesn’t matter………my new favourite is “HEENA”.. ;)

    @Himanshu
    yaar ye insti roof pe to rock climbing kar ke hi jaana padega…….there doesn’t seem any other way to do it. :P

  15. uNbReAkAbLe Said:

  16. Perx Said:

    @intutius
    Hey, I forgot to ask, so did u meet neha in that pizza hut?

  17. Intutius Said:

    GOod yar Perx….i must say you ‘ve got a very nice memory.

    Neha lives in East Delhi…….and i m in south…..too too far from her by ‘Delhi standards’.

    vaise……we’ve planned to meet as soon as possible. i ll definitely write about it when it ll happen. :P

    thnx for concern mate.

  18. Perx Said:

    @intutius
