It was his birthday today. It was his 20th birthday. He had waited for this day for one year as everyone does. But this was special. He had always waitedfor this birthday to come. And he had always hoped that this will be good.

As the clock struck 00:00 hrs, phone calls started. He tried to attend every phone call. The ones who found it difficult to call because of balance or congestion, had sent him an s.m.s. Even people who he never expected to call, wished him. But still he waited. He waited for the whole day.

Every hour passed and he everytime cursed the telecom service for congestion. He hoped that because of congestion, it is not possible to call. And also that because of the congestion, her s.m.s has still not been delivered.

He waited. He saw the seconds pass away too quickly. He still waited. Waited for a call or a message. Waited for 24 hours. Calls kept coming in. Gifts kept coming in. It was his day. Everyone was celebrating for him. Wishing him whatever he wanted. But wishes didn’t came true.!

No call, not even a message from her. He was sad and worried and a little bit angry too. He didn’t tell this to anyone. He just smiled and made people think that he was happy.

When he told a friend, the friend suggested that she might be busy. Another one suggested that she might have a problem. But he just thought,

“…whatever the case may be, she should have atleast messaged atleast when I am eager to be the first person to wish her even though her birthday is always a ‘congestion day’ “
